Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds on credits and subscriptions purchased through MyCVStack. We want you to be satisfied with our service, so please read this policy carefully.
1. Free Credits
New users receive free credits upon registration. These credits are provided at no cost and have no monetary value. Free credits are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
2. Purchased Credits
You may request a refund for purchased credits if they have not been used, the request is made within 14 days of purchase, and you have not violated our Terms of Service.
Credits are non-refundable if they have been partially or fully used, the 14-day refund period has passed, your account has been terminated for violating our Terms of Service, or you purchased credits during a promotional offer (unless required by law).
3. Subscription Plans
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your profile settings. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, you will not be charged for the next billing cycle, and any unused monthly credits will remain available until the end of the billing period.
Refunds
Subscription refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase if you haven't used the service extensively. After 14 days, no refund is available for the current billing period, but you can cancel to prevent future charges. For annual plans, a prorated refund is available within 30 days based on unused months.
4. Service Issues
If you experience issues with our service that prevent you from using your credits, contact our support team at support@mycvstack.com. We will investigate and resolve the issue promptly. If we cannot resolve the issue, we will provide a refund or credit your account.
Note: Normal AI processing times (up to 3 minutes per generation) do not constitute a service issue.
5. AI Generation Quality
Due to the nature of AI-generated content, we cannot offer refunds based solely on dissatisfaction with AI-generated suggestions, the tailored CV not resulting in job interviews or offers, or personal preference regarding the AI's output style.
However, if the AI output is clearly defective (e.g., garbled text, completely irrelevant content), please contact us and we will regenerate at no additional cost or provide a credit refund.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Email support@mycvstack.com with "Refund Request" in the subject line
- Include your account email and order details
- Explain the reason for your refund request
- We will respond within 5 business days
Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method.
7. Chargebacks
If you initiate a chargeback with your bank or credit card provider without first contacting us, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending resolution. Please contact us first—we're here to help resolve any issues.
8. Your Legal Rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (UK) or other applicable consumer protection laws. You may have additional rights depending on your location.
UK Consumers: You have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations. However, this right may be lost if you use the credits during this period.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
