1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using our service, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, will comply with these Terms and all applicable laws, and will provide accurate and truthful information.

2. Description of Service

MyCVStack provides an AI-powered CV tailoring service that helps you create and manage professional CVs, tailor them to specific job descriptions using AI, generate PDF versions, and track your job applications.

The service operates on a credit-based system. New users receive free credits upon registration, and additional credits can be purchased as needed.

3. Account Registration and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access and ensure your account information is accurate and up-to-date.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are used for fraudulent purposes.

4. Credits and Payments

Credit System

New users receive 5 free credits upon registration. Each CV generation uses 1 credit. Credits can be purchased through our pricing page, and paid credits do not expire (though free credits may be subject to expiration).

Payments and Subscriptions

All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Prices are displayed in your local currency and include applicable taxes. Purchased credits are non-transferable between accounts. For information on refunds, see our Refund Policy.

Subscription plans automatically renew unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time from your profile settings. Cancelled subscriptions remain active until the end of the billing period.

5. AI-Generated Content

Ownership

You retain ownership of your original CV content. The AI-generated suggestions and tailored versions are provided to you for your use. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the generated content as you see fit.

Accuracy and Quality

While we strive to provide high-quality AI-generated content, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated suggestions, that tailored CVs will result in job interviews or offers, or that the content will be free from errors or inappropriate suggestions.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it. Always review your CV for accuracy and appropriateness before submitting to employers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our service to create false, misleading, or fraudulent CVs, misrepresent your qualifications or identity, generate content that infringes on others' intellectual property, or create illegal or harmful content. You also agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer our AI models, use automated systems to access the service without permission, share your account credentials, or resell credits or generated content commercially.

Violation of these terms may result in account termination and forfeiture of remaining credits.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Rights

MyCVStack and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Rights

You own the content you create using our service. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for providing the service to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not responsible for the outcome of any job applications or the accuracy of AI-generated content.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MyCVStack and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

10. Service Modifications and Termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, change pricing and credit costs with 30 days notice, and terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms.

We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved through direct negotiation between the parties, followed by mediation if negotiation fails, and finally through the courts of England and Wales if mediation fails.

12. General Terms

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

Failure to enforce any right does not constitute a waiver, and you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent.
